E - safety at Boughton Heath

As a school we see the safeguarding of our children as our highest priority, with children's online safety being paramount to this.

We teach the children about how to stay safe online through a variety of ways, gradually building up content levels as children move through the school to ensure the learning they undertake is matched to the experiences with technology they are having in and out of the classroom. These lessons happen in every year group and are taught as part of our PSHCE curriculum.

In addition to this the children have access to, and are taught how to responsibly use varied technologies such as iPads, robots, desktop and laptop computers, interactive web tools and software.

Each year we take part in Safer Internet Week, where for a week we showcase the importance of staying safe online, and support this from a visit from our neighbourhood policing team in conjunction with Cheshire Constabulary. We also have support and advice available to parents to help you keep your children safe at home. Please see the links below.

Christmas is a time where many children and adults receive new digital devices. At this time of year it is especially important to remember how we can stay safe online.
